SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer l is responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes and coordinates integration of machinery for manufacturing plant to maximize yield and productivity. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods & processes, and work force utilization. Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification. Performs a variety of tasks requiring creativity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maximizes product yields by analyzing equipment, workflow, assembly methods and processes
Justifies new equipment and integrates into manufacturing using disciplined approach to qualification of equipment and process
Prepares and utilizes statistical data analytics to make sound decisions on equipment and processes
Develop / Implement Cell Layout (Workstation, material presentation, point of use inventory storage, workflow)
Develops and implements work instructions and documentation for procedures and provides training to affected associates
Provides support and information for new and sustaining product development with regards to manufacturability
Automates machinery and implements control systems to improve our quality and productivity
Identifies waste reduction opportunities and executes a plan to eliminate
Assists in the development of Preventive Maintenance for technicians
Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Performs other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Liaise with internal stakeholders and obtain appropriate information and data in order to prepare waste reduction initiatives
Support meetings supplying relevant data, provide updates on plans and highlight concerns relating to actual or potential issues
Escalate any issues to Manager or others in the organization particularly when there is risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
2+ years’ experience in an engineering role
Prior experience in automation and control systems in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
